NACSTech Estimated Delivery Dates for WooCommerce

Description

NACSTech Estimated Delivery Dates for WooCommerce tells customers how many days their order will take to arrive, right on the product page, cart, and checkout (classic and block-based). You don’t have to set a delivery date on every product one by one — set a default once, then override it by category, shipping class, product, variation, shipping zone, or specific postcode only where you need to.

Key features

  • Global default delivery day range (storewide)
  • Per-category override
  • Per-shipping-class override
  • Per-product override
  • Per-variation override, for variable products
  • Per shipping-zone override
  • Per-postcode/zip code override, with CSV bulk import/export
  • Restrict payment methods (e.g. disable Cash on Delivery) per postcode
  • Fully block checkout for postcodes you do not deliver to
  • Order cut-off time (orders placed after this time count from the next business day)
  • Configurable business days (exclude weekends)
  • Holiday exclusion list
  • Works on classic and WooCommerce Blocks cart/checkout
  • Live “order within Xh Ym for same-day dispatch” countdown to today’s cut-off time
  • Customizable date format, message templates, and box colors, translatable via WPML/Polylang
  • Admin Delivery Simulator to test rules without placing a real order
  • [nacs_edd_estimate] shortcode to show the estimate anywhere
  • Estimate is saved on the order and shown in order emails, the thank-you page, My Account, and the admin order screen

Recommended setup

  1. Go to WooCommerce > Estimated Delivery.
  2. Set a global min/max delivery day range and cut-off time.
  3. Add category, shipping-class, product, or variation-level overrides where needed.
  4. Add shipping-zone overrides for zones that ship faster or slower than the default.
  5. Add postcode rules for exceptions: faster/slower postcodes, payment-method restrictions, or areas you don’t deliver to at all.
  6. Choose where the estimate should be displayed (product page, cart, checkout), and optionally enable the same-day dispatch countdown.

FAQ

Do I have to set a delivery date on every product?

No. Set a global default once, then only add category, shipping-class, product, variation, shipping-zone, or postcode overrides for the exceptions.

Which rule wins if more than one applies to the same product?

In order: a variation-level override (for that specific variation) beats a product-level override, which beats a category override, which beats a shipping-class override, which beats a matching postcode rule’s own days, which beats a shipping-zone override, which beats the global default. Only one rule is used — the first one found in that order. The admin Simulator tab shows exactly which one resolved for any test you run.

Can I set a different delivery estimate for one specific variation of a product?

Yes. Each variation of a variable product has its own “Override delivery estimate” option in the Variations tab, separate from the parent product’s setting.

Can I show the estimate on cart and checkout as well as the product page?

Yes. Each display location (product page, cart, checkout) can be toggled independently in the General settings tab.

Does this work with the WooCommerce Cart and Checkout blocks?

Yes. The estimate and the postcode restriction messages render natively in the block-based Cart and Checkout, as well as the classic shortcode-based versions.

Can I stop selling to postcodes I can’t deliver to?

Yes. Mark a postcode as restricted in Postcode Rules and checkout is blocked with a clear message for that postcode, on both classic and block checkout.

Can I restrict payment methods like Cash on Delivery to certain areas?

Yes. Each postcode rule can list which payment methods are allowed; any gateway not listed is hidden at checkout for that postcode.

Is the plugin translation-ready?

Yes. All plugin text uses the nacstech-estimated-delivery-dates text domain, and the customer-facing message templates are also registered with WPML String Translation and Polylang so multilingual stores can translate them per language.
