Description

AI Intake Assistant adds a chat widget to your website that acts like a smart intake specialist:

• Answers visitor questions using only the firm info you provide (it won’t invent services or prices).
• Runs a practice-area-aware intake and qualifies the lead.
• Emails you an instant, structured “ready-to-call” case summary the moment contact details are captured — so you can respond within minutes, when conversion is highest.
• Chats in the visitor’s language (English or Spanish).
• Refuses to give legal advice.

External service disclosure

To generate replies, this plugin sends data to an external AI backend service over HTTPS. By
default it is pre-configured to use the hosted backend operated by the plugin author at
https://ai-intake-backend.onrender.com . You may change this to your own self-hosted backend via
the “Backend API URL” field on the settings page.

What is sent, and when:

• When you click “Save & Sync” on the settings page, the firm details you entered (firm name,
  practice areas, firm info/FAQ, notification email) and your site’s generated Site ID are sent
  to the backend’s /register-site endpoint so it can configure your assistant.
• When a visitor chats on your site, their messages and the running conversation are sent to the
  backend’s /chat endpoint to generate a reply. Nothing is sent from a visitor’s browser until
  you have configured and saved the plugin.

This data is processed by that backend to produce answers and lead summaries. Use of the default
hosted backend is governed by its terms and privacy policy:

If you point the plugin at your own backend, that data is instead sent only to your server.
